Cellebrite Expands Partnership with Global Translation and Content Solutions Leader SDL
Brings State-of-the Art Neural Machine Translation Services to Users of UFED Physical Analyzer
Integrated UFED PA module provides on-demand translation of more than 40 language pairs, plus data protection and efficient, real-time workflow
Tysons Corner, VA, November TBD, 2019 – Cellebrite, the global leader in digital intelligence solutions serving the law enforcement, intelligence and enterprise communities, has expanded its partnership with SDL (LSE: SDL), a global leader in content creation, translation and delivery, to develop the Cellebrite Smart Translator Module. This will enable Cellebrite clients and intelligence analysts to uncover communications alluding to criminal activity in more than 40 languages via instant translation of textual content.
There are many instances where investigators are faced with digital data and text in languages other than the ones they speak. Smart Translator represents the ideal solution for examining content that is not in the investigator’s native language. The add-on to the company’s UFED Physical Analyzer allows convenient, on-demand examination of text – while retaining the original alongside the translation.
Powered by SDL Machine Translation (MT), the module also reduces the cost of hiring a translator, as well as time spent on the considerable amount of digital data that may need potential translation.
“Smart Translator seamlessly integrates the latest advances in artificial intelligence and secure, neural machine translation with our digital intelligence platform to provide the best translations, critical insights and accelerated timelines for optimized workflow,” said Ori Nurick, EVP Product Management, Cellebrite. “We selected SDL as a partner because it is the clear global leader in this space and a true innovator in language and content management solutions that provide the broadest language support in one, unified solution.”
Smart Translator works with Cellebrite’s UFED Physical Analyzer to provide access to on-demand translation across 40 convenient language pairs. This safeguards sensitive content by keeping data within the investigative agency and speeds time to evidence.
“We’re pleased to be partnering with a company such as Cellebrite, which provides the most-advanced and trusted digital solutions currently on the market,” said Jim Saunders, SDL’s Chief Product Officer. “Global law enforcement agencies and corporate legal teams are continually challenged by multi-language communications as part of their digital investigations. The latest version of SDL Machine Translation marks an exciting milestone for our customers and the industry, and we look forward to enabling investigators to help keep their communities safer.”
SDL Machine Translation is an enterprise-grade software for neural machine translation that delivers broad language support across some of the globe’s most challenging languages, supports strict security protocols and is built to fit a variety of enterprise workflows.
