Conference of Western Attorneys General (CWAG) and Cellebrite Update Digital Forensics Repository to Serve Legal and Law Enforcement Professionals Nationwide
The Resource Library supports creating legal policy and procedures around lawful access to evidence from public and private cloud sources.
SANTA ANA PUEBLO, NM July 25, 2018 – The Conference of Western Attorneys General (CWAG) and working group partner Cellebrite, a leading provider of digital intelligence solutions, today announced at the CWAG 2018 Annual Meeting the public launch of a comprehensive repository of digital procedural documents and educational assets designed to enhance the investigative process for the legal community. Previously only available to CWAG members, the library and its digital intelligence resources are now accessible to a new, broader and thoroughly vetted community – legal and public sector professionals who can access the documents by providing information such as a verifiable government email address.
“CWAG is committed to providing resources that will aide our State Attorney General’s offices with their investigations and prosecutions” said Karen White, CWAG Executive Director. “This repository ensures that law enforcement, prosecutors and others seeking guidance can be confident they are taking the right steps to obtain state-of-the-art technology in accordance to the law.”
The Digital Forensics Repository provides professionals with key resources for adopting digital intelligence technology to improve evidence management, streamline investigations and build more informed narratives. The library has been fully updated to include valuable resources such as new and impactful best practices, suggested workflows, case studies, and sample warrants and court orders. This transparent and collaborative effort ensures interested parties can more easily navigate the processes to obtain and best utilize technology tools like Cellebrite’s UFED Ultimate, Physical Analyzer, UFED Cloud Analyzer and Analytics Series.
“Civil legal professionals and law enforcement agents are dealing with unprecedented amounts of data and digital evidence, and the challenge of utilizing it in a meaningful way under time constraints makes process streamlining critically important,” said Derek Brown, General Manager, North America at Cellebrite. “The Digital Forensics Repository will help professionals leverage data in public and private clouds to turn digital evidence into action. Moving forward from this successful expansion, we aim to continue to leverage our digital intelligence expertise and community-minded organizing to continue to help even more professional alliances and interest groups access and better deploy critical technology.”
Through partnerships with influencers and collectives in the law enforcement and investigative world, Cellebrite continues to work with new pertinent communities to increase access to digital intelligence for a safer world.
