Kansas Investigators Use Cellebrite Technology in Narcotics Trafficking Case
In June 2013, an interdiction officer in Junction City, Kansas, pulled over a driver in his 70s who was speeding. The officer’s search of the driver’s pickup truck uncovered evidence of major narcotics trafficking — including $850,000 in cash.
Based on those findings, investigators with the Junction City Police Department knew they needed to move as quickly as possible to examine the suspect’s phone so they could identify his contacts and determine the extent of the drug trafficking.
Investigators needed to quickly examine a narcotics trafficking suspect’s mobile phone to assess the scope of his network, including who was involved and where the activity was taking place
