One of the key challenges in generating a comprehensive list of persons is the ability to attribute multiple identifiers in a database to individuals. These identifiers can be an e-mail or phone number which must be merged into a single digital profile for clarity. Without this, many redundant profiles will be produced in a cluttered and likely unusable display of all the communication events on a timeline or graph.

Cellebrite Pathfinder automatically merges multiple identifiers into person objects which is very time consuming and prone to error when performed manually. Once these objects are automatically created, they can be used to:

  • Populate a person of interest database by collecting all identifiers belonging to someone
  • Indicate if an individual exists in single or multiple cases
  • Split and merge identifiers into a person object as new information arrives from other sources on the fly
  • Search for an individual based on an identifier or alias across the entire data set
