UFED uncovers fake SMS App used by sexual assault suspect
When Mexican police received a report of sexual assault, they immediately summoned the man in question for interrogation. He cooperated and showed the investigators a text message (SMS) on his mobile phone, which – according to him – had been sent by his ex-fiance, the accuser.
The text read that she had threatened him, and would accuse him of sexual violence so that he would be arrested. At that moment, investigators faced a common situation of contradictory statements from the victim and suspect.
