Cellebrite Training is excited to announce three new Capstone Certifications we will be offering in the coming months. This will provide the Digital Intelligence community with new skills, techniques, and knowledge utilizing Cellebrite’s forensics tools and technology. The new certifications will provide knowledge and specialized training in three respective areas in the digital forensics field: 

  • Mobile Forensics
  • Computer Forensics
  • Data recovery and expert analysis of digital devices – including smart devices, vehicle GPS, drones, and IoT.

Cellebrite Certified Mobile Examiner (CCME)  

Cellebrite Certified Mobile Examiner (CCME) is a capstone certification in mobile forensics designed to prepare practitioners with the knowledge, skills, and abilities of mobile device forensics and investigations.   This certification is being revamped and is set to be released in January 2023. 

Every course in the CCME capstone certification track has been updated to the latest industry practices and covers new topics to gain expertise in the extraction and analysis of mobile devices. The courses included in the revamped CCME Certification track will now include:  

Cellebrite Mobile Forensics Fundamentals (CMFF):

A great class for beginners, this course provides attendees with compulsory digital forensics core knowledge. Learn how the four phases of the forensics process are related and how to handle devices following best practices. Recommended, but not required for certification.

 

Cellebrite Certified Physical Analyst (CCPA):

An advanced level program focused on the analysis and advanced search techniques using Physical Analyzer.

 

Cellebrite Advanced Smartphone Analysis (CASA):

An advanced level program designed to provide students with an in-depth look at the forensics recovery of application data found in today’s smartphones using advanced decoding techniques. 

 

Cellebrite Certified Computer Examiner (CCCE) 

Cellebrite Certified Computer Examiner (CCCE) is a capstone certification designed to prepare practitioners with the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for computer device forensics and investigations.​ This brand-new certification will be released in November 2022. 

Courses Included in the CCCE Certification:  

Cellebrite Computer Forensics Fundamentals (CCFF):

Provides examiners with an introduction to computer digital forensics for Mac and Windows. Recommended, but not required for certification. Recommended, but not required for certification.

 

Cellebrite Apple® Forensic Fundamentals (CAFF):
Provides examiners with an introduction to Cellebrite Digital Collector and Inspector, and how to analyze mounted and device connection evidence, and network connections in macOS.

 

Cellebrite Apple® Intermediate Forensics (CAIF):
Provides examiners with a comprehensive exploration of the GUID Partition Table, Terminal, HFS+, and APFS file system in macOS and iOS devices. 

 

Cellebrite Apple® Advanced Forensics (CAAF):

Provides examiners with advanced techniques for performing detailed recovery of artifacts from allocated and unallocated space and an exploration of deleted files from HFS+ and APFS in macOS and iOS devices.

Cellebrite Windows Forensics Investigations (CWFI):

Learn detailed knowledge of Windows-based file systems, operating systems, user, and application artifacts. (MORE DETAILS COMING SOON!)

 

Cellebrite Certified Recovery Specialist (CCRS) 

Cellebrite Certified Recovery Specialist (CCRS) is designed to prepare practitioners with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to identify potential electronic evidence, properly collect data and extract data on multiple digital devices – including smart devices, vehicle GPS, drones, IoT, and many others.  This certification will be released in September 2022. 

Cellebrite Mobile Forensics Fundamentals (CMFF):

A great class for beginners, this course provides attendees with compulsory digital forensics core knowledge. Learn how the four phases of the forensics process are related and how to handle devices following best practices. Recommended, but not required for certification.

Cellebrite Certified Operator (CCO):

Designed for those participants tasked with extracting data in a forensically sound manner using UFED Touch or UFED 4PC.

 

 

Cellebrite In-System Programming (CISP):

Learn about the In-System Programming (ISP) process and understand what is necessary for performing direct eMMC/eMCP (ISP) extractions.

 

Cellebrite Chip-Off Forensics (CCOF):

Learn about the chip-off process and understand the equipment and accessories necessary for performing successful chip-off extractions.

 

Cellebrite Evidence Repair Technician (CERT-F):

Learn best practices and how to replace key components on mobile devices and USB flash drives using proper disassembly and reassembly techniques.
