When Cellebrite’s Chief Information Officer Sigalit Shavit joined the team in August 2024, creating the Cellebrite Trust Center was a top priority. It is a way for the public, including current and potential customers and investors, to better understand Cellebrite’s security practices, compliance and overall operational quality.

Below is a Q&A with Sigalit:

Sigalit Shavit joins Cellebrite as the Company's first CIO.

Q: What is the Cellebrite Trust Center?
A: The Cellebrite Trust Center is one of the ways for a mature company to showcase, in public, its security practices, compliance and overall operational quality. It is an easy way for the public, including investors and potential customers, to understand Cellebrite’s commitment to security and trustworthiness by showcasing how the company protects its products and services.

Q: Why create the Trust Center?
A: This is an industry standard and best practice. I liken it to the company’s identity card, which showcases our commitment to adopting and nurturing these common practices as we scale. We want it to be crystal clear that we have measures and controls in place to protect customers’ critical data. The Trust Center creation is not a one-time event. Instead, it will evolve over time and we will add relevant content as necessary.

Q: Tell us more about the Cellebrite security team?
A: Our security teams have extensive experience in the cybersecurity industry and are dedicated to verify the security of Cellebrite and its customers data while also continuously working to enhance the security standards and controls. As part of this commitment, we recruited a skilled CISO and built up our security teams across the organization.

The security team’s work is challenging because on one hand they are accountable for the security of Cellebrite, and on the other hand they need to enable the business. In my role, it is important to empower the teams to use modern IT and security practices and be a true partner, considering the business needs and enabling its productivity without compromising security.

The Trust Center was a collaborative effort – stretching beyond the CISO group – and involves multiple departments’ input, including legal, operations, R&D, product and marketing. This collaborative venture demonstrates our commitment to transparency and trust.

Q: What is next for the Trust Center?
A: Since we just started, we will continue adding more relevant and timely content. We will be providing our sales operations with more AI-powered tools to access a Cellebrite-specific cybersecurity practices database. This will streamline and excel the sales deal process, where we will undergo vendor qualification and risk assessment. This will mean a more seamless and better experience for our customers and vendors. We are just getting started!
