Introducing Inseyets 10.6: Delivering Smarter Digital Investigations
Cellebrite Inseyets is known as a best-in-class suite of solutions for extracting data at unmatched speeds. It’s already helping accelerate time to resolution, and now investigators have an expanded forensic toolkit with the latest version of Inseyets 10.6.
This most recent update is designed to empower investigators with a host of new capabilities that make their workflow faster, smarter and more intuitive.
Timesaving Features in Inseyets 10.6
Whether you’re an investigator or member of a legal team, accuracy is the number one priority in an investigation, followed closely by efficiency. This latest version of Inseyets offers several updates that make the process more efficient than ever.
At the top of the timesaving list is the ability to extract SIM cards without switching to the UFED flow. Whether you’re doing a standalone SIM extraction or combining it with a device acquisition, everything is bundled into a single UFDX file. It’s a cleaner, simpler process. Users extracting from Android devices can also expect faster extraction speeds, this new version of Inseyets reduces the time by up to 30%.
New Views, Faster Results
Another timesaver is the ability to customize the dashboard view based on preference. A preferred view can be pinned to give users access to all the content they need in one unified dashboard.
The ‘Message View’ tab is another new feature that will make the investigation more efficient. It allows users in Inseyets.PA to view and sort messages from multiple apps in one place. If a conversation begins in one app and transitions to another, examiners can quickly view them in a timeline. Users can also isolate individual messages, allowing for a deeper analysis of associated chats.
Introducing Media Intelligence
Users will also notice a tab called ‘Media Intelligence.’ This new feature in Inseyets.PA consolidates native device metadata and can help examiners identify important information like the origin of media. Media Intelligence can give more context when analyzing photos, audio or videos and can now help with detecting GenAI or altered content.
Collaboration is crucial to investigations and now, users have additional insights with Multiple Reviewer Session Files (PASR). This latest version of Inseyets allows users to hover over redacted images and see which contributor was responsible for the redaction.
New Flexibility with Streamline
With the growing amount of data investigators must analyze, we want users to have a workflow that provides accuracy yet is also fast and flexible. This latest update now allows Inseyets.PA users to pre-configure examination tools within Streamline. It also allows for filtering of an Examination report by a specific file type and data type.
Another update to Streamline is the ability for administrators to configure report settings in Commander. The settings will be automatically applied to endpoints using the ‘Streamline’ flow but can be overridden by Examiners as needed.
Protecting the Most Vulnerable
A core part of Cellebrite’s mission is protecting the most vulnerable, our children. Our partnership with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) through our Operation Find Them All (OFTA) initiative is expanding as we integrate its hash set database into Inseyets.PA 10.6.
The hash set consists of more than 10 million images of known child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and continues to grow. By integrating the list into Inseyets, it instantly identifies the material, accelerating investigations and helping protect investigators from being exposed to these images repeatedly.
At first glance, this may seem like a feature that only applies to law enforcement or public safety agencies, but it can be an important feature as some may be more likely to search for CSAM while in a work setting than within their home network.
