Not at all. Like most modern web applications, Guardian is easy to use and learn. Main flows are intuitive and easy to learn, and the general user experience is designed around existing processes, while evidence review emulates the same experience that anyone with a smartphone would know how to use.

Long answer – the system follows your processes and flows and is tailorable to your needs, however it does suggest best practices for investigator / lab collaboration for your consideration. So if you have minimal processes in place, this will feel more like a change.

Yes, flexibility is one of the cornerstones of Guardian. Many options are configurable, and our team of experts will assist you in making Guardian suit your agency’s specific needs from evidence submission to reporting. And of course you can customize as and when you need.

There are two main ways to do this:

1) via the Investigator Portal where the case investigator can add comments, upload warrants, and ask for specific searches or data, and

2) within the review section of the Investigator Portal where users can tag events for all relevant stakeholders to see.

Yes. As a user you can manage the entire history of tasks that you were assigned to or that you assigned to others, as well as easily searching, filtering, and sorting to find exactly what you are looking for.

Yes, multiple people can review the same data with no maximum limit to simultaneous viewers of UFDRs within Guardian. The power of the cloud is realized through Guardian, removing constraints you may have faced with other systems.

Guardian’s Investigator Portal tracks all usage, by whom and when the action occurred. This information is viewable within Investigator Portal and stored indefinitely. Activity Reports and Chain of Custody Reports are available to filter and print on specific activities, or users, or all activity within a date range, so that you can have this information to take it to court. This means all your actions within the application are defensible and promote full transparency through visible checks and balances.

With Guardian, you only pay for what you use. Guardian pricing is based on the amount of data uploaded into the Guardian system each year—but don’t worry, we can help you to easily estimate your needs simply by understanding your case load. Plus, Guardian allows for unlimited users and unlimited outside reviewers, making it simple to share evidence with key stakeholders from any agency.

Guardian is based in both AWS commercial and GovCloud environments, and users benefit from the strict security measures these environments have to offer. The data is stored on the AWS cloud in Amazon’s data center. Per needs and regulations, data can be stored within your country providing AWS has an active data center in place.

We currently have live data centers in the US, UK, Australia and Latin America, and are always evaluating additional regions which can be deployed with speed where the need arises. Yes. Guardian is agnostic to the type of files you upload, so you can upload any file in any format and in any size, up to 5TB per file.

Currently Guardian enables review of Cellebrite proprietary UFDR files within your browser – an unmatched capability in the market. Extract summaries from PA can be pasted to autofill Guardian worksheets, making Examiner work easier, quicker, and less prone to human error.

Guardian is a cloud solution offered by Cellebrite to our customers – there is no relationship required between you and any cloud provider (AWS, Azure, Google, etc.) and no impact on your day-to-day work or pre-existing contracts direct with a cloud provider. Simply put, Cellebrite manages the infrastructure while you manage the evidence.
