Digital Collector 3.3 allows investigators to perform physical imaging of modern macOS systems, Apple’s latest M1 hardware, and the new macOS 12 Monterey.
This release also offers custom file filters, collection templates, and much more.
What’s New in Digital Collector 3.3:
Support for M1 and macOS Monterey 12
Digital Collector can now create images of Pro and Max M1 computers running macOS Big Sur 11 and macOS Monterey 12, either running live or starting (booting) from Digital Collector. (Rosetta 2 is no longer necessary for running live on M1 computers.)
Custom File Filters and Collection Templates
We are also pleased to debut custom file filters and collection templates for the Collection view. Together, these powerful features can accelerate and streamline your collection processes while empowering more junior examiners to select items more consistently and confidently.
Custom file filters and collection templates can make it easier and faster to select items to collect. Once you establish these, you can rely on them to more quickly and consistently select items to collect. This can also mean that more junior examiners can work more independently to consistently select appropriate items.
Additionally, the resulting data collection may be smaller while still focusing on relevant data. These features can also help ensure that your collections comply with requirements and restrictions.
