These features are new or changed in this release of Inspector.
Updated to Postgres 14.5
Inspector 10.8 uses Postgres 14.5 for the case file database.
Important: Cases created in earlier versions of Inspector cannot be opened with Inspector 10.8.
To have continued access to cases created in an earlier version of Inspector, you must keep and use that earlier version while using version 10.8 for new cases going forward.
License with an Activation Code
It is now possible to license Inspector using an activation code provided by Cellebrite. In the course of enabling this licensing method, the various other methods were also streamlined in the License Manager dialog.
Filter on Date and Time in Multiple Views
You can now set a single date and time range to limit the data shown in all views where dates are available, with these exceptions:
- Browser
- File Filter
- System > Registry
This nearly global date filter is faster and more streamlined than creating and applying a similar filter for each view individually. The filter applies to all supported views as you navigate among them. You can find this filter just below the toolbar in all views that support it.
Evidence Ingestion and Processing
These enhancements were made to different areas of evidence ingestion and processing.
- User Interface
- Selecting VSCs and Snapshots
- AFF4-L File Ingestion
- Importing ZIP Files
- Import EML Files
- Selecting Media Processors
