What is your mission?

As a Deployment Engineer, you will play a critical customer‑facing role, responsible for the successful deployment, configuration, and operational support of complex software solutions across on‑premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.

Working cross‑functionally with Engineering, Product, Sales, and Customer Success, you will ensure solutions are delivered securely, reliably, and production‑ready. This role emphasises hands‑on execution, automation, and operational excellence, and closely aligns with Deployment Engineer, Implementation Engineer, or Customer‑Facing DevOps Engineer roles found at leading technology companies.

This position is based in Germany and primarily supports the DACH region, with some travel to other EMEA countries as needed. Professional fluency in both English and German is required to effectively support customers and partners across the region.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy, configure, upgrade, and support software solutions within customer environments, including pre‑deployment readiness validation and post‑deployment verification
  • Collaborate with Agile development teams and internal stakeholders to implement robust, secure, and scalable technical solutions
  • Act as a technical point of contact for customers during deployment and onboarding activities
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across application, infrastructure, networking, and cloud platforms
  • Implement and maintain environments using automation, configuration management, and infrastructure‑as‑code best practices
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including deployment guides, runbooks, installation procedures, and architecture diagrams
  • Participate in incident response, root‑cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Provide Mobile Forensic activities in the Cellebrite lab and/or at customer sites as needed

This role involves up to 75% travel and is well‑suited to engineers who enjoy hands‑on, customer‑facing work and taking ownership of deployments and troubleshooting through to live production in the field.

Requirements

  • Proven experience with Linux/Unix and Windows system administration
  • Networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP models, HTTP, DNS, firewalls, VPNs, routing, and secure connectivity
  • Experience with virtualisation environments (e.g., VMware, Nutanix, Proxmox)
  • Strong security and cryptography knowledge, including encryption, PKI, certificates, key management, and secure protocols (TLS/SSL, SSH, IPSec)
  • API‑based integrations (REST/SOAP, webhooks) and experience with API tooling (Postman, Swagger)
  • Container and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Scripting or programming experience (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell, SQL)
  • Hands‑on cloud experience with AWS (preferred), Azure, or GCP

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Deployment Engineering, DevOps Engineering, or a related technical role
  • Minimum 2 years of system administration experience in Linux/Unix and Windows environments
  • Minimum 2 years of networking experience in enterprise or customer‑facing environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience delivering solutions in regulated or government environments
  • Experience supporting high‑availability, always‑on services with defined service‑level expectations
  • Ability to train/onboard end users post‑deployment
