What do you get when two innovators join forces? In the case of Cellebrite and Corellium, you get an impactful partnership and a leap forward for the entire industry. These two companies are now one team and bring together experts in digital investigations, intelligence and mobile virtualization. The end result: agencies in the public sector and organizations in the private sector are better equipped to tackle today’s toughest security and investigative challenges.

Why This Partnership Matters

Cellebrite has been leading the way for more than 25 years, creating technology and solutions to help professionals in the digital investigative field lawfully access data and then understand it. Whether the data lives on a phone, computer, wearable or another device, Cellebrite’s solutions empower teams to get the information they need to protect against internal and external threats.

Now, with Corellium’s advanced ARM-based virtualization technology in the mix, the possibilities are quickly expanding. Corellium’s platform lets users create precise digital twins of devices—think iPhones, Androids and IoT hardware—so security researchers and investigators can work smarter and faster.

Cellebrite announced the agreement to acquire Corellium in June 2025, and the purchase became official six months later in December. Chief Evangelist and VP of Product Management at Corellium, Brian Robison, sees the partnership as a game-changer for security research and forensics. “Together, we’re unlocking possibilities that were previously out of reach,” he said. “Our combined technologies will transform how digital evidence is accessed and analyzed.”

The Art of the Possible

The partnership brings together two teams committed to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in digital intelligence and investigations and security research. “We’re bringing the concepts and tools of mobile security research into the world of forensics. It’s unbelievable what’s possible when you combine these strengths. This is just the beginning,” Robison said.

What does this mean for users?

  • Faster, Efficient Investigations: Users can now test, analyze and validate data across a wide range of devices and operating systems, even those that are rare or difficult to acquire physically.
  • More Flexibility: Virtual devices and cloud-based tools allow teams to work together in real time, no matter their location, eliminating the need to ship physical devices or worry about lost equipment.
  • Comprehensive Security Testing: Built-in tools for introspection, automation and security testing help customers identify vulnerabilities, ensure compliance and protect sensitive data more efficiently.

How It Works

You may notice a common theme so far, efficiency. As Matt Goeckel, head technical product marketing manager at Cellebrite explained, “Virtualization is really the only option for testing on devices and OS versions you can’t buy. It helps you save time, reduce costs and focus on doing your job.”

Within Corellium’s platform, Viper allows users to spin up virtual devices, test across multiple OS versions and automate repetitive tasks. “Viper gives security teams the flexibility to test and validate mobile applications in environments that mirror real-world conditions, without the hassle of maintaining physical device labs,” said Robison. This allows teams to identify insecure data storage, network traffic leaks and code weaknesses before apps reach production.

Falcon is designed for deep operating system and kernel-level research. It’s what security researchers and forensic investigators who need to analyze the inner workings of mobile devices will use. “Falcon empowers investigators to go beyond surface-level analysis,” Goeckel said, “giving them the tools to uncover vulnerabilities and understand device behavior at the deepest level.”  Researchers can perform advanced debugging, trace system calls and conduct fuzz testing at scale, helping organizations uncover and address security flaws in both iOS and Android environments.

Focusing on the Future

Cellebrite and Corellium are already delivering value through Viper and Falcon and giving users a unified experience. “This isn’t just about adding capabilities, it’s about creating an ecosystem where investigators can work smarter, not harder,” explained Goeckel.

The shared commitment to innovation and customer success is the driving force behind Cellebrite and Corellium.

  • Continuous Product Enhancements: Cellebrite and Corellium are dedicated to regularly rolling out new features and capabilities to ensure customers always have access to the latest tools and technologies.
  • Future-Ready Solutions: The combined roadmap is full of innovations designed to tackle emerging threats and evolving mobile ecosystems, keeping customers ahead of the curve.

Customers, especially in the enterprise space, can look forward to new, groundbreaking features and capabilities that will roll out in 2026. “I’m so excited about what’s coming next. It’s something the world has never seen before,” Robison said.

Support and training will continue as usual, with additional resources as the partnership grows. Cellebrite is committed to making the transition smooth and ensuring every customer has what they need to succeed.

The Bottom Line

The combination of Cellebrite and Corellium is exciting. The people behind the technology are some of the best and brightest in the field, and they’re just getting started. Together, they’re creating solutions that will help teams unlock new possibilities, work more efficiently and stay prepared – and ahead – of whatever comes next in the world of digital investigations and mobile security.
