Selective App Decoding has been updated in Cellebrite Physical Analyzer.

Normally, Physical Analyzer scans through the collected data to present the applications that are available. Once the apps have been identified, you have the option to go through and select each app individually, or to search for the app name.

What is new?

Now, there is the option to “Learn More,” where you can choose specific apps and only get the data contained within those application containers. You can also choose to include common databases that are related to that selected application.

For example, if you have a contact that communicates within Snapchat, the contacts database will also be extracted. If the person is using Instagram to save photos, the gallery may also be collected. This allows the user to control the data they are extracting to better fit their warrant, legal authority, and time-to-examination requirements.
