Course Description
Cellebrite Mobile Forensics Fundamentals (CMFF) is a two (2) day entry level course designed to provide attendees with compulsory digital forensics fundamental knowledge including: mobile device communication networks, explorations of Android and iOS file systems, extraction methodologies, memory (NAND) functions, and the proper handling of digital evidence for use in administrative, civil, or criminal actions. Attendees will learn the reasoning and strategies used by creditable practitioners to form digital forensic best practices.

- Describe different mobile devices.
- Describe digital forensic processes.
- Discuss best practices when seizing devices.

Certification Details
The Cellebrite Certified Mobile Examiner (CCME) track is designed to prepare practitioners with the knowledge, skills, and abilities of mobile device forensics and investigations. These course tracks also prepare the candidate to utilize Cellebrite’s UFED technology and Physical Analyzer to conduct extractions, analyze findings, and prepare reports for legal proceedings.
The CCME track is made up of the following:
- Cellebrite Mobile Forensics Fundamentals (CMFF)*
- Cellebrite Certified Operator (CCO)
- Cellebrite Certified Physical Analyst (CCPA)
- Cellebrite Advanced Smartphone Analysis (CASA)
*Recommended, but not required for the CCME certification.

The Cellebrite Certified Recovery Specialist (CCRS) track is a hardware-based track designed to prepare practitioners with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to identify potential electronic evidence, properly collect data, and extract data on multiple digital devices – including smart devices, vehicle GPS, drones, IoTs, and many others. These course tracks also prepare to recover destroyed or encrypted evidence using destructive and non-destructive methods.
The CCRS track is made up of the following:
- Cellebrite Mobile Forensics Fundamentals (CMFF)*
- Cellebrite Certified Operator (CCO)
- Cellebrite Chip Off Forensics (CCOF)
- Cellebrite Evidence Recovery Technician – Forensics (CERT-F)
*Recommended, but not required for the CCME certification.
