Course Description
Cellebrite Evidence Repair Technician – Forensic (CERT‑F) is an expert‑level, five‑day course focused on repairing damaged digital evidence to enable successful forensic data extraction.
This hands‑on course teaches investigators how to diagnose hardware failures and perform controlled mobile device and USB media repairs while maintaining forensic integrity. Students gain practical experience restoring device functionality so critical data can be accessed, extracted, and analyzed when standard workflows fail.
Course Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Diagnose and repair damaged mobile device evidence in a forensically sound manner
- Restore device functionality to support successful data extractions
- Perform controlled disassembly, repair, and reassembly of mobile devices and USB flash drives
- Apply heat and manual soldering techniques without compromising evidence integrity
- Earn the CERT‑F certification by passing a practical competency exam
