Course Description

Cellebrite Genesis Essentials (CGE) is a web-based training that provides a foundational understanding of Cellebrite Genesis, an AI-assisted case analysis system that supports investigative work through conversational exploration of uploaded case data and evidence-grounded analysis. This course includes an overview of core capabilities, workflows, source review methods, and best practices for using Genesis. Participants will gain practical insights into surfacing relevant artifacts, relationships, timelines, and patterns from complex, multi-sourced data while preserving evidentiary integrity throughout investigations.

 

Course Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • Explain the purpose, boundaries, and design of Genesis, including its role as an AI-assisted, evidence-grounded case analysis system.
  • Recognize the guardrails that distinguish Genesis from autonomous, predictive, or decision-making AI tools.
  • Explore analytic capabilities in Genesis, including conversational querying, case management, artifact review, history, supported data types, and visualization features such as Timeline, Context, Mind Map, and Locations Map views.
  • Describe hybrid agentic workflows in Genesis, including intent classification, orchestration, agent specialization, verification, formatting, and results synthesis designed to support traceable, artifact- linked analysis.
  • Identify how Genesis supports validation and downstream workflows, including source review, artifact exploration, recommended next steps, and chat exports.
  • Recognize best practices for effective prompting and responsible use, including how to establish investigative intent, refine analysis through follow-up questions, avoid unsupported prompts, and maintain human oversight and evidentiary integrity throughout the analysis process.
