Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced and visionary Senior Cloud Platform Software Architect to play a critical role in defining and shaping the core platform architecture that underpins Cellebrite’s flagship cloud‑native SaaS products. In this role, you will design and guide the implementation of robust, scalable, and secure platform foundations, including DevOps and delivery pipelines, connectivity, runtime, deployment, identity, and multi‑tenancy, enabling advanced and secure infrastructure for our AI‑driven digital investigation solutions at scale.

You will work closely with engineering, product, security, and operations teams to drive architectural alignment and technical excellence across the platform, ensuring reliability, scalability, and long‑term evolution. This is a high‑impact role, ideal for a senior technical leader with deep hands‑on expertise, strong architectural judgment, and the ability to influence across multiple teams in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

As a Platform Architect, you will define and own the architectural vision for how our SaaS platform is built, connected, and operated, from AWS cloud foundations and Kubernetes runtimes, through CI/CD and GitOps‑driven delivery, service‑to‑service communication and external ingress, to multi‑tenant control planes and operational guardrails. Your work will be pivotal in enabling production‑grade reliability, secure connectivity, and developer velocity, while supporting both current product needs and future growth in a cost‑effective, cloud‑native environment.

Responsibilities

Own the Platform Vision

  • Take end‑to‑end ownership of the platform architecture, including AWS cloud foundations, networking and connectivity, Kubernetes runtime, deployment models, identity, and multi‑tenancy, to enable reliable and scalable SaaS products.

Scalability, Reliability & Cost Efficiency

  • Provide architectural leadership to ensure the platform is designed for production‑grade reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency, proactively identifying and driving cloud, infrastructure, and operational optimizations.

Product‑Centric Collaboration

  • Partner closely with engineering, product, security, and operations teams to translate product and business requirements into robust platform capabilities that accelerate product delivery and innovation.

Architecture Design & Governance

  • Lead deep architectural reviews, assess technical and operational risks, and provide clear recommendations to ensure security, resilience, operability, and governance are embedded across platform components and services.

Standardization & Platform Enablement

  • Define and standardize platform patterns, including connectivity models, service‑to‑service communication, security, deployment strategies, CI/CD foundations, and multi‑tenant runtime practices, enabling teams to build consistently and safely.

Technology Evolution

  • Continuously evaluate and introduce new platform technologies, tools, and methodologies (e.g., AWS services, container orchestration, ingress/API gateways, DevOps tooling) to evolve the platform and improve developer experience.

Documentation & Technical Leadership

  • Own high‑quality architectural documentation (HLDs, reference architectures, operational models) and act as a technical authority and mentor, fostering a culture of engineering excellence, and architectural rigor.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of hands‑on experience designing, building, production‑grade software systems, strong software engineering background (not infrastructure‑only).
  • Proven experience 5+ years as a Senior‑level Architect designing and operating AWS‑based, cloud‑native SaaS platforms in production environments.
  • Cloud‑Native Platform & Software Expertise: Strong background designing, building, and operating AWS‑based, cloud‑native SaaS platforms in production, with deep hands‑on experience across core AWS services used for compute, networking, storage, security, and observability.
  • DevOps & CI/CD: Proven experience with DevOps principles, including CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure‑as‑Code, GitOps workflows, deployment automation, and operating production systems within a product‑centric DevOps culture.
  • Deep expertise in AWSKubernetes (including Kubernetes Operators), and cloud‑native architectures.
  • Strong experience with authentication, authorization, and policy‑driven security (RBAC / ABAC).
  • Proven experience designing and extending multi‑tenant SaaS architectures, including ownership of tenant lifecycle management across provisioning, configuration, upgrades, and retirement.
  • AWS Connectivity & Traffic Management: Strong understanding of connectivity and communication patterns in AWS, including API Gateway, Nginx/Ingress layers, internal service‑to‑service communication, controlled internet ingress/egress, and hybrid connectivity, aligned with platform and security best practices.
  • Cost Optimization Experience: Proven experience designing platforms for scalability, resilience, and cost efficiency, with hands‑on involvement in identifying and implementing cloud cost optimizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence architecture across teams without direct authority.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English (Hebrew – an advantage).
  • Strong technical communication skills, including ownership of HLDs and architecture standards
  • Domain Expertise: Background in digital investigations, cyber, or public safety domains – an
  • advantage.
