The Exynos chipset in the latest Samsung devices provides ‘ the next-level mobile experience through intelligent processing power, multi-gigabit internet speed, diverse multimedia features, etc.’ which ultimately means that it can handle more on-device data processing and storage. For investigators, this is a digital goldmine of new and untouched evidence.

Cellebrite is pleased to be the first and only vendor in the industry to support the Exynos driven Samsung Galaxy S9 series running all operating system versions.

UFED 7.23 enables lock-bypassing physical extractions on the entire Exynos product line with our updated and exclusive Samsung Exynos Decrypting bootloader capability.

Watch the video below to find out more about this innovative capability.

New and exclusive access to the Samsung Exynos driven A and J series

Cellebrite is the first and only in the industry to provide you with a generic solution that supports dozens of popular, low to mid-tier models from the A series and J series – all supported up to Android 9 Pie and running the latest firmware version.

New MediaTek (MTK) and SpreadTrum support

A new generic profile has been added to UFED 7.23 that now enables lock-bypassing, physical extraction from Samsung devices with either the MTK or SpreadTrum chipset.

Generic physical extraction for unlocked MTK devices

MediaTek is the world’s 4th largest global fabless semiconductor company and powers more than 1.5 billion devices a year. Their processors can be found in numerous smartphones around the world including Xiaomi’s Redmi 6, Nokia’s 5.1 plus to name a few as well as many low budget devices – nearly 1 of every 3 mobile phones is powered by MediaTek.

Cellebrite is always striving to provide maximum support for the widest range of devices, including those with MTK Chipsets. And the need to surface critical evidence from these devices using a physical extraction is a necessity for investigators.

In UFED 7.23, we are pleased to provide physical extraction support via the new MTK Live capability for such devices.
Stay tuned for additional updates and expanded device support in upcoming UFED versions.
