Mike spent over 28 years working in public safety as a dispatcher, patrol officer, detective, and Lieutenant. Mike was assigned to and supervised a multitude of assignments during his career, where he also received many commendations for his job performance and dedication. He has testified in Local, State, and Federal courts and has been recognized as an expert witness in the field of digital forensics. He also has been involved with the International Association of Computer Investigative Specialists (IACIS) since he earned his Certified Forensic Computer Examiner certificate in 2005. He has been a row coach, instructor, developer, and from 2012-2019 was the Training Manager for the Basic Computer Forensic Examiner (BCFE) classes.

Cellebrite Courses Taught: CCO-CCPABart Ooms resides in Belgium and speaks Dutch, English, and French. He started his career with the police force in 1994. In 1998, he moved on to investigate financial crimes and money laundering cases. In 2003, Bart moved to the Federal Computer Crime Unit, serving as a Chief Investigator. In this unit. he was the leader of a team responsible for contacting different internet service providers worldwide to obtain identification and localization information. At the time, the Federal Computer Crime Unit had very limited agreements with service providers, but Bart was able to talk to different internet service providers worldwide to convince them to cooperate with the Belgian Justice to create a legal base where identification and localization information from users can be released. He has been teaching this material in different countries all around Europe and assisted these countries to obtain the same options respecting their own legal system. In 2005, Bart started an evening course to obtain a bachelor’s in computer informatics in Belgium. He graduated in 2008. In December 2005, Bart became a COSPOL – CIRCAMP group member. The members of this group come from Europol, Interpol and several European Countries. The main item in the action plan of this group is to prevent access to websites containing abusive child images. The action plan is focused on the battle against the distribution of offensive child images by using other technologies like Peer to Peer, IRC, Newsgroups, etc. Belgium was the driver of this action plan from 2010 – 2013. In July 2016, Bart became the head of a team responsible for the placement of covert technology. At the same time, Bart worked with a team to assist in the development of a class regarding OSINT investigations and how to “behave” as a law enforcement member on social media. He was one of the instructors for these classes. Bart has a vast network of both DI investigators and examiners through his affiliation with the International Association of Computer Investigative Specialists (IACIS), a global non-profit professional association. He has been a member of this organization since 2007 until today, fulfilling different roles as a row coach, member of the training committee, team leader, division manager, and class manager. Since September 2022 Bart has become the Manager of International training for Cellebrite. He is assisting the trainers especially in the EMEA and APAC region. In his limited free time Bart likes to run long distances. He has run over 30 marathons worldwide.

Eric has over 35 years of experience in electronic technology—including a tour with the US Navy, and worked with several defense contractors. During his tenure with the LAPD, he has worked in Electronic Surveillance, TSCM, Video Forensics, Audio Forensics, and Cell Phone / Mobile Device Forensics. Eric founded the Cell Phone / Mobile Device Forensics Lab in 2007 and has designed, developed, and installed many specialized surveillance devices for high profile cases for units such as Internet Crimes Against Children, Robbery Homicide Division, Major Crimes Division—Anti-Terror, Commercial Crimes Division, Office of the Inspector General State of California, and many local agencies. Eric is experienced in testifying in court for digital forensic cases and has been qualified as an expert witness in multiple cases. Eric has an MS in Digital Forensic Science from Champlain College. Eric has achieved certification as a Cellebrite Certified Mobile Examiner (CCME) and a Certified Forensic Computer Examiner (CFCE). Eric is the Manager of Contractors for the Americas at Cellebrite USA and a Cellebrite Certified Master Instructor.

During his employment with the Mississippi Attorney General’s Office, he served as Deputy ICAC Commander and Director of Investigations. Keith is a Cellebrite Certified Master Instructor and has numerous digital evidence certifications, including Certified Forensic Computer Examiner (CFCE), Certified Advanced Windows Forensic Examiner (CAWFE), Cellebrite Certified Mobile Examiner (CCME), and Certified Fraud Examiner. He has testified several times as an expert in digital forensics. In 2010, he received the Mississippi Top Cop honor for an investigation that led to the rescue of a sexually abused child. Keith received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1994. He lives in Florence, Mississippi, with his wife of 30 years, Vicki, and two daughters, Morgan and Sydney.

In 1992, Jim retired from the US Army Criminal Investigation Command (CID) as a Chief Warrant Officer after 20 years of service. In 2016, Jim retired from the Washington State Gambling Commission after 23 years of service as a Commissioned Senior Special Agent and Digital Forensic Examiner. Jim and has more than 20 years of experience in digital forensics, holds numerous forensic certifications, including the Cellebrite Certified Operator (CC0), Cellebrite Certified Physical Analyst (CCPA), Cellebrite Advanced Smartphone Analyst (CASA), Cellebrite Certified Mobile Examiner (CCME), Video Evidence & Recovery Analyst (VERA), IACIS Certified Forensic Computer Examiner (CFCE), and is recognized as a Cellebrite Certified Master Instructor (CCMI). For more than a decade, Jim served the International Association of Computer Investigative Specialists (IACIS) as a Row Coach, Peer Review Coach, Problem Development Chairman, CFCE Certification Chairman, Director of Certification, Vice President, President, and member of the Board of Directors. Jim is an Associate Member of the American Academy of Forensic Science (AAFS) and serves in the Digital and Multimedia Section. During his 23 years with the Washington State Gambling Commission, Jim served as the Commission’s Certified Digital Forensics Examiner, operating two forensics laboratories in Olympia and Spokane, Washington. For the last nine years of service with the Commission, Jim served as a member of the Washington State Chapter of the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, providing forensic support, investigative support and training to federal, state, and municipal law enforcement agencies both nationally and internationally. Jim joined Cellebrite in January 2016 and currently serves as Manager of Classroom Technology.

Todd was also an instructor and manager of curriculum/certification for a forensic software company for five years. He has held numerous software and industry certifications, including the CFCE from the International Association of Computer Investigative Specialists [IACIS] and the GCFA from SANS. Over 16 years of instruction, Todd has taught thousands of members of international and domestic federal, state and local law enforcement officers and civilian forensic examiners.

Curriculum Development Courses: CALBruno Bordas entered the French Police academy in 2006, when he was 19 years old. After a year of learning, he obtained a position as a patrolling agent in the subway of Paris. Bruno spent a few years securing the transportations, running at thieves, and dealing with fights, but wanted to take on more responsibilities. He then attended and passed the exam to become a Judicial Police Officer, allowing him to conduct investigations. Right after the Parisian terrorist attacks in 2015, the Sub-directorate of the fight against cybercrime was looking for techies and since he enjoyed computer-related activities, he decided to attend, then got a position at the National Unit in charge of the fight agains hackers, where he spent 5 years dealing with international hacking cases, conducting forensics in his own cases, across multiple devices. Eventually, Bruno decided to move for a wider range of activities and left Paris for Corsica an Island as a technical assistant, doing forensics for all the units on the island. There, he met a Cellebrite trainer who recruited him to become a Cellebrite Certified Instructor himself.

He progressed through the team from his starting point as a Digital Forensic Analyst to Senior Digital Forensic Analyst, and a Laboratory Supervisor. Rich became involved with the company’s on-site training center where he wrote and delivered training courses and managed the training center, igniting his initial passion for training. In 2012, Rich became involved with Birmingham City University as an Industry Advisor to their Digital Forensics degree course and was invited to be a board member of the university’s Industrial Advisory Board and to be one of their guest lecturers. In recognition of Rich’s hard work and commitment to his industry advisor role at Birmingham City University, and the Digital Forensics course in particular, he was offered the esteemed position of Visiting Industry Fellow. In 2016, Rich was offered the opportunity to join another private Digital Forensics company as a Senior Digital Forensic Investigator and Laboratory Manager of their new location where he went on to develop the laboratory’s processes to successfully obtain the ISO17025 accreditation. In 2019, Rich joined Birmingham City University to follow his passion for training as a Lecturer of Digital Forensics and progressed to Senior Lecturer and Course Leader in 2021. In 2022, he was nominated and went on to win the prestigious award for “”Inspirational Teacher of The Year””. In the same year, Rich was made a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. In 2022, Rich joined Cellebrite as a Trainer Developer based in the UK where he has trained students from across the globe.

He holds their CFCE certification and has been actively volunteering as an IACIS road coach and peer review coach for the past 4 years, contributing significantly to the community. Stefan has received accolades and awards from the USSS, FBI, and state and local agencies for supporting their investigations.
Stefan received his Associates in IT Networking from the University of Phoenix in 2010. Stefan lives in the Pocono Mountains PA with his wife Amy and two children, Nickolas and Lilyana.

He began his career in law enforcement, serving with the Georgia Institute of Technology Police Department and later the Greenwood Village (CO) Police Department, where he worked as a computer crimes investigator and was assigned to the U.S. Secret Service’s Colorado Electronic Crimes Task Force. While on the task force, he completed the USSS mobile forensics program and was certified as a mobile device forensic examiner.
Jason holds a Ph.D. in computer science from Clemson University and has earned multiple industry certifications, including IACIS Certified Mobile Device Examiner (CMDE), Cellebrite Certified Mobile Examiner (CCME), Cellebrite Advanced Smartphone Analyst (CASA), (ISC)2 CISSP, and CompTIA CySA+.
In addition to his field experience, Jason has spent over a decade in academia, designing and teaching digital forensics courses in computer, network, and mobile forensics at several colleges and universities. He has provided expert witness testimony in numerous state and federal cases.
He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences and a Senior Member of IEEE, and maintains active memberships in IACIS, ISACA, and other industry associations.

Cellebrite hand-picks our trainers to provide the best training experience for our customers. Candidates must demonstrate a strong knowledge of mobile devices and computer forensic acquisition and analysis. Candidates should have experience and an understanding of the forensics process and relevant knowledge of the legal requirements surrounding an investigation and be able to pass that knowledge on to students.
Candidates must attend a three-day Instructor Development Course (IDC) where they have an opportunity to demonstrate their skills in front of a panel of senior Cellebrite instructors. Candidates will be evaluated on their knowledge and understanding of forensics as well as on their ability to interact with students and articulate the concepts and materials provided.
Candidates will be given details on Cellebrite’s processes and expectations for a Cellebrite Certified class.
