We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the UFED group, working on mission‑critical digital forensics products used by law‑enforcement and investigative agencies worldwide. The ideal candidate combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership skills to drive high-quality solutions and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
Responsibilities:
- High‑performance C# .NET / C++ systems for data extraction from digital devices
- Core infrastructure and architecture of a large, mature codebase
- Performance, scalability, and reliability at scale
- Modernization efforts including cloud, containerization, and AI‑assisted development
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering with a backend focus
- Strong background in complex, long‑lived systems
- Proven architectural ownership and leadership mindset
- Curiosity and openness to AI‑assisted engineering
- Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines and contribute to shared goals
Nice to have:
- Experience with containers and AWS cloud solution (or equivalent)
- Experience with C++
- Background in security, forensics, or networking
